The Christmas Photoshoot

I picked up this huge frame (it measures 48cm x 112cm) from The Warehouse and put some of the photos I took in it - I think it looks great :)

And here is a close up.

I am going to change the photos in the frame every month - this means a photoshoot once a month LOL. The kids weren't in the best mood yesterday, I actually have a few shots taken towards the end with their backs to me cos they had had enough. And how hard is it to get them ALL looking at the camera at the same time. I envy the Mum's out there with only one child to photography :)

Wow!
What a night. Kylie was unreal.

Very emotional, alot more than I thought I would be, still not 100% sure why I spent most of the first half with tears rolling down my face. At the start someone yelled out Happy Birthday to Kylie as our original date was on her birthday, very funny. During the intermission I managed to compose myself (LOL) and was looking forward to a 'dry' second half. Well the tears start the moment she was back on stage singing her version of Somewhere over the Rainbow. She was joined with her sister Dannii last night on stage singing 'Kids', they had a blast on the stage together.

One very lucky little girl (I think she was 8) ended up on Stage with Kylie and they sang the Chorus to one of her songs - Gee I hope her Mum scrapbooks :)That is something to tell the grandkids.
We had planned on getting a late dinner before coming home last night but I was too tired - I think from all the tears LOL. Anyway Kylie was fantastic and yes, it was well worth the 18 month wait to see her, glad we held on to our tickets.

Waving to Rach as she pointed out that I haven't updated for ages (and ages). I also better throw in a Hello to Kerry too so she doesn't feel neglected.

I hate this time of year. Too much to do and not enough time to do it blah blah blah. We didn't even get the Chrissy tree up until 3 days ago. I let the kids do the whole thing so it looks very attractive to say the least ROFL.

Going to the Kylie Concert tonight YIPPEE!! The tickets were a birthday present from Darren last year and finally we are going. Sarah is looking after Oliver and Nathaniel for me, Thanks heaps CHicko.

Yesterday I went to the Scrapathon at Scraptacular all day/night crop that starts at 10am and goes until Midnight. Got to catch up with most of the girls before Christmas which was great. Also got to hand out
our Secret Santa presents. I had Sarah and Sarah had me, how funny is that.
I made Sarah a magnetic note board from a baking tray and lots of photos of Harry and Rebekah - thank god for blogs as that's where all the pics came from.

Sarah made me a beautiful box with 3 trays inside, it has a handle so I can carry it around, I love it (Thanks Sarah). ATM I am going to put my 'pink' things in it that I got from Kerry for Chrissy (Thanks again Kerry).

I also got an extra gift from Anna. I was a bit suprised as I wasn't expecting anything from her, Thankyou Anna. I think they are gorgeous. You are so clever.

In other news, I got a letter in the mail on Monday. It was from For Keeps to tell me I had won an Award for Excellence in Design, well I nearly fell over. Had to tell someone so after convincing Sarah I wouldn't go into her house (just stand under the carport LOL - as it turns out she was finishing off my secret santa present :)) I went around there and gave her the envelope. She was sooo excited for me. We were both doing the happy dance (must have been a sight for the neighbours if they were watching ROFL) I also got a certificate.
Had a few dramas with my prize but I eventually got - had to collect it myself from the Couriers Depot :( Lots of goodies in the box, $500 worth.

OK so blogger isn't playing nice and won't let me upload anymore pics :( will come back later to add some.

Might go and have a little nanna nap before Sarah comes around to get the kids, I can feel a migrane coming on so I need to nip it in the bud so I can enjoy Kylie tonight.

I'm not really a bad blogger

I have been really busy doing lots of other stuff as you probabaly already know. And if you don't, I'm the new Website Admin for scraptacular.com.au I have been flat out getting stuff done, at the moment it is never ending. Heaps of new stock to put up before I even think about putting up all the other products.
Yesterday the NEW Urban Lily went up and it is devine. Unfortunately there has been a delay with the UL rub-ons but they shouldn't be much longer than a week.
On the home front I have come down with the flu and am feeling really crap. The brickwork is finally finished so now we need to get a frame inspection and then the plasterboard can go up - Yippee!!
Only 16 days until Kiwiscraps, I am so looking forward to this. A few weeks after Kiwiscraps I have Scraptacular's weekend away too. If you live in Melbourne and are interested check out the website as there are still a few spots left.

Scrapathon and catching up.

Before I talk about the Scrapathon I need to announce that Didi won the last 'What's that Pic', Yes it was a stapler. I will get a RAK together for you ASAP and leave it at the shop.

OK Friday Scrapathon.
OMG how noisy were we? Actually don't answer cos I know we were VERY LOUD!!
Had a ball, best crop I have been to in ages. Food, Shopping, Music - which lead to lots of singing LOL and dancing and ass shaking, more food and a little bit of scrapping too. We had 4 boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts, that's heaps to share between 18 people.

Yummo! Apparently the line has died done a lot since they opened last week, about a 20 minute wait now.

Back to the Scrapathon, I lasted the whole 14 hours - well not quite as I didn't get there until 11.45am (it started at 10am) but didn't leave until midnight. Had so much fun I have booked into July's already as I don't want to miss out. A lot of us had the silly's, you would have thought we had been drinking LOL.
I took some pics but unfortunately they didn't turn out the best - that's what happens when you take the 'little' camera, I left my 350D at home :( I know better for next time.
So what more could a girl want out of a day??? No kids (I do love them but...), lollies, pizza, Krispy Kreme Donuts, scrapping and friends to share a laugh (or 2 or 3 or ........)

I need a new pic for 'what's that pic' and have chosen an easy one (for some) but I want you to tell me what's happening too.

Guess what I had yesterday..........

Well the story goes like this.

The kids did their usual trick, drank 2 litres of milk in 5 hours - little buggers. I desperately wanted a cuppa so I had to go up to the Quix (service station) just up the road to get some more, much to my disgust. So off I go. I'm not overly happy cos all I wanted is a hot cuppa. Anyway I get there and go inside to grab some milk. I walk up to the counter to pay and have to wait for what seems like ages as there are a few people in front of me - meanwhile I am cursing the kids for making me stand here to buy more milk, remember, all I want is a hot cuppa. Finally it is my turn. There is one chick behind the counter and then another comes in. She is holding a massive box. My milk gets scanned and I go to pay her with all my change (lots of 10 and 5 cent pieces collecting in the bottom of my purse so I quite often off load it to the chicks there :) The chick with the box comes up to the counter to reveal it is filled with Krispy Kreme donuts. YUM!! They just opened today (yesterday) in Narre Warren. She tells me the queue was a mile long, it actually took her close to 2 hours to get to the front. I told her it looks like she was well rewarded. She offers a donut to her co-worker (the chick serving me) and then.................she offers ME one too. WOW!!!!!!! I got to have an Original Glazed - these donuts are yummy. How nice was that, doesn't even know me - except that I am ALWAYS there buying petrol and milk (LOL) - and she offers me a very precious KK donut that she stood in a queue for almost 2 hours to get. She made my day. So off I go and sit in my car savoring every bite before I drive home. By now I am thanking the kids for drinking the milk, their timing was perfect :)

So, there you have it.
Yesterday (Thursday) I had a Krispy Kreme donut!

OK, so after typing this post I now have a question for you all. How do you spell Donut????? Donut OR Doughnut????

Haven't managed to accomplish much today. Did a bit ( a real little bit) of scrapping and not alot else :(
I was checking out the Scrapboxx forum today and one of the chicks shared a cool site for those that love to read blogs. All you do is add all the blogs you read to 'My Feeds' and it will then let you know when these blogs have been updated. so it can cut your blog surfing time in half :)
It is called Bloglines, check it out.

Another blog I have been meaning to share for ages now is Pubcalls. Everything there is to know about design team calls and comps etc.

Well I did go to the Sensational today so I figured why not use it as my title for today's post :P

I didn't get there until almost midday and then didn't get alot done which as you all know by now that is nothing unusual for me.

Well the kids are on school holidays here in Melbourne (AGAIN!) as of Friday so this also means school reports. Nathaniel had an excellent report (as usual) and Oliver's was......um........interesting, or maybe I should say entertaining LOL.
They are using the new school report system at their school (back to the old ABCDE system ~ Yippee! They also ask the students what they enjoy most at school, what they are good at and what do they need to improve. Here is what Oliver, my Preppie had to say about himself (word for word)~

I love colouring in. I like playing with my friends. I like maths. I like PE and soccer and basketball. I'm good at doing soccer. I'm good at ummmm swinging. I'm good at loving playing outside. I'm good at maths. I'm good at doing writing because I'm doing two finger spaces. I'm good at eating. I want to get better at writing, doing my sounds, drawing. I'm good at maths.

So, what do you think??? I laughed until I cried.
The first line of his teachers comment reads ~ Oliver is a confident and entertaining member of the class.

What a find. I was picking some stuff up for Darren today at Mitre 10 and I found them (Chilli's is the brand name) in the gardening section. They are exactly the same as Croc's but with flower's on them ~ the rubber stuff is a bit stiffer too but other than that they are the same..........oh and the price tag is cheaper, only $29. They come in pink, green (I got you a pair Kerry) bright orange and yellow (or it could have been purple, can't remember).

Hoping to go to the Sensational Sunday tomorrow, have worked my arse off today in the hope that Darren won't mind. No other news, not yet anyway ;)

The usual Wednesday here. Visited Gym (LOL) went and did the Parent Helper thing ~ had a ball making animal mask's with the kids and then filled in the arvo with a visit to Paperdoll. Picked up the new SM and SC (SC has a new look).
Yesterday I went to Scraptac for a class and their birthday. Had cake and shopped a bit. My new pink and brown AMM handbag was in ~

Monday, but it feels like Sunday :)

Yes, today feels like Sunday as it is a public holiday ~ Queen's Birthday long weekend, but it's really Monday. Haven't done a great deal since I was last here. Did the usual school helper thing on Wednesday, Thursday I did a bit of scrapping and Friday I went to the crop at Scraptac. Friday night I went to the movies with Linda and Sarah and saw Poseidon. If you like the original you will love this one. Saturday was pretty boring, in the evening I went to Linda's to crop and we did an all nighter (never done one before) and boy did the time fly. Shazza rocked up at around 12.30AM to join us. Had a ball and ate lots of bananas (NO not the really ones they cost way too much ATM, up to $12 a kilo :) just the lolly ones. I went home at 11.30AM and managed to stay awake until after dinner. I sat on the couch at 6.20PM to watch BB but fell asleep before it started :( Had a massive sleep and didn't wake until 8.45 this morning. So today I went to Paper Squared in Mornington to pick up some stencils and spent way more than I wanted to, oh so naughty. Linda picked me up in the Mavis Mobile and Sarah came along for the ride too.
Tomorrow I am off to Scraptac (I know AGAIN) for a class in the morning and it is the shops 4th Birthday tomorrow as well. They have a comp on that is worth while entering, do a card or LO for their birthday and be in the draw for a basket full off goodies ~ heaps in it including a Basic Grey dye and notch tool. Entries close on 30th June so get your entries in.

Playing Catch Up.

OK. Quick catch up.

Thursday afternoon I received a parcel from the states I have been waiting for - Yippee! A couple of the chicks and I ordered some scrapping tees and jumpers from Tenika.com. They are fantastic so we will be ordering some more once they get back from Europe.

Friday I went to the shop, not to crop but to catch up with Wendy and give her the tee and jumper she ordered. I ended up staying for ages and probably should have cropped.

The weekend was boring, had to help Darren with the house. More walls came down and new ones went up as the brickie will be back this Friday. Managed to get Linda's LO for the Scrap Exchange done - finally LOL, will post a pick later.

Yesterday. Monday I went to Scraptac for the bonus crop. Only me and Cara there today. Caught up with Deb before she flies off to QLD, gee I wish I could go. I spent the day putting together a display with the stuff I cut out with the Cricut machine. Didi popped in with Jacinta which was very entertaining to say the least.

Today I am back at the shop for a Collections class with Jodie. Kerry will be there so I can catch up with her too.

Not much other news except I didn't make the Urban Lily design team but Renata emailed me to ask if they could feature one of my LO's in the UL gallery - of course I said yes :) So now I will have 2 LO's up on the net, the other being on the Basic Grey gallery. I am still deciding if I should enter the SM Masters this year. I got 2 Honorable Mentions last year so maybe this year I should give it another go. Still thinking about it...

More on the Cricut and the winner is....

I was lucky enough to be able to take the Cricut home with me yesterday. I got to play all night, well until 1am anyway. Cut out lots of stuff but not as much as I was hoping to :( Because it can do so much it was hard to work out what to cut, what size and on what paper. Anyway I am hoping to make some bits and pieces up with what I did manage to cut. I even had all 12 cartridges to use. Thank you Robyn from Print Blocks :) I had to have it back at the shop (Scraptacular) this morning by 9.30am, I was there on time (had a bit of time to spare actually) and reluctantly handed it back over. Oh well, I will hopefully have one of my very own before Christmas.

And the winner is...... well actually there are 2 winners, Anna and Robyn. Anna guessed a flower and Robyn guessed a Lily. I will get 2 RAK's together and pass them on very soon. Special mention goes to Julie, you must think Darren and I are into some really kinky stuff LOL. You make me laugh.

So Oliver is home today, he has a coldy fluey thing. So far he hasn't been too bad so I hope it continues this way.

with the new Cricut machine. Today was it's debut appearance in Victoria. Robyn from Print Blocks came to Scraptacular at 12.30 and did a demo with the new Provo Craft Cricut. It is ACE!! So I have put my order in for one along with 3 of the other cartridges/fonts. Robyn says that if you pre-order you should have it before Christmas. It does tiny letters right up to 5 1/2" letters. I think it will take over from the Sizzix in a big way. It will be approx $500 which includes a cartridge and each addition cartridge will be approx $170. But when you look at what a sizzix font costs and the fact that you can cut the letters in heaps of sizes it isn't too expensive.
Anyway if you get a chance to see one in action don't miss it :)

My Monday.

It's Monday again. Haven't done much since my last blog. The highlight was having dinner with the chicks on Saturday night for my birthday. Thanks Didi, Cara, Mavis, Shazza and I can't forget Jacinta ~ boy was she on fire LOL. I was determined to have 3 courses so I had a rosemary and garlic pizza, it was huge and took up the whole dinner sized plate. Then I had the Ribs on a bed of mash served with chips and a side salad, this too was massive and I didn't get through it all but had a good go. For dessert I had the Sticky Date Pudding, nothing like a good Sticky Date LOL. Ate it all. I had a hot chocolate at Mavises house before going home and I think that sent me over the edge. I felt soooooo full! To full. I could have quite easily have been sick, infact I was sure I was going to be. I didn't eat anything until dinner on Sunday night, I made an Irish Pork Roast ~ Pork wrapped in bacon and rosemary ~ YUM! Lots of baked vegies too.
So now I come to today, Monday.
I had to be up early and have the kids ready to walk out the door at 7.45am. James was going on an excursion to the City and HAD to be on the 8.12am train to Flinders Street.
Now just so you know I was NOT happy with the way this excursion was organized. Kids being at the train station for a 8.12am train, walking the city all day then making their way home, pretty much UNSUPERVISED!!! James is 14 (15 in a month) and I know he is a good kid but when boys are in a group they can get carried away. I had my reservations BIG time and was almost going to pull him out at the last minute but he is growing up and I need to trust him, actually it isn't him I don't trust it is everything/everyone else he was bound to come in contact with over the course of the day. The thing is I myself wouldn't travel on a train so why would I allow my 14 year old son!! And not on the Frankston train line, not from Seaford all the way to Flinders Street.
Anyway I had him at the Seaford train station at 8am on the dot, 12 minutes to spare (or so I thought), I felt a little (and I mean little) bit at ease as there were approx 30 kids there and amongst them was a couple of teachers although I couldn't see them. James got out of the car and stood in the line to get his ticket (from those bloody ticket machines that they don't have enough of), I sat in the car and watched as there were a few people in front of him, I wanted to make sure he had his ticket and was waiting with his mates. Some people are sooo bloody impatient cos the next thing I know I am being honked at from the car behind, he could have easily gone around me but NO he had to make a scene. So with that I waved goodbye to James and I was on my way.
I had only made it a km or 2 up the road when I started feeling sick in the stomach. I knew I would feel like this until I picked James up from the train station in the afternoon. I gave James my spare mobile phone and put my SIM card in it so I could call him and he could call me. I was itching to call him from the moment I got home at 8.20am but I didn't want to embarrass him infront of his mates (having Mummy call every 10 minutes to see if he was OK). I was actually hoping he would call me but he didn't. I held off until lunchtime, by this stage my stomach was worse. I called him at 12.39pm. "How are you darl", I said. "I'm fine Mum but I missed the train this morning". So now my stomach is in my mouth. He was standing in line to get his ticket, several people had pushed in front of him so by the time the machine spit out his ticket the train doors were closed and it was pulling away from the station. So there he was along with one other student standing on the platform all alone. Teachers were gone. What the #*$&!!!!!!!! He got the next train at 8.25am with the other student and hooked up with everyone (teachers and students) at Federation Square. He travelled alone and had to get from Flinders Street Station to Federation Square by himself. I know it is only across the road but James has never been on the train before or to Federation Square.
Anyway the sick feeling in my stomach stayed (and probably increased) for the rest of the afternoon until I had a call from him at 4pm to say he was on the train and was passing through Mordialloc. I meet him at Seaford Station at 4.18pm.
The sick feeling in my stomach has gone and has been replaced by anger. I am angry with the school and the teachers. Who's care was James in today?????? Theirs????? I think not!!!! What would have happened if.................. I am not going there as the possibilities are endless and believe me I thought of all of them today.
James did enjoy himself, he had KFC for lunch, went to the Polly Woodside although it was closed for refurbishment, hung out near Crown Casino and played under the fountains, walked along the yarra ~ gee that sick feeling is coming back.
Well that's my vent, you have done well if you have read this far.

Lookie what I got!!

I got a 'PINK' platter filled with all things pink. Kerry gave it to me today for my birthday (which was yesterday). THANK YOU Kerry!!!!!!!!

So what's in it ~ Pink marshmallow lollie things, Pink flowers which smell yummy, Pink ribbon, pink smelly balls (they smell yummy too), a pink pen with pink ink, a pink ladybug on a stick (I have a thing for ladybugs :)), a pink journal with pink paper inside, a pink tool kit ~ a real one with a pink torch/pink tape measure/pink pliers/pink screw driver and bit set and other tooly stuff LOL, a pink flower photo holder, ladybird stamp, really BIG rub-ons for the walls and last but by no means least pink and white striped tins (very cute) that have tampons in them :P ~ Kerry said you can get them from Coles.
Lots of pink stuff, Thanx heaps Kerry. I am starting to collect all things green for your birthday now (I already found 2 things).

So I went to the Friday Kim and Kerry crop today. I actually finished a LO, Yippee!! (I hope you are reading this Kerry). Sarah was supposed to work today and she did go but my god did she look sick (sorry chicko). I should add that she was/is sick. She she went home to bed and the doctors, lots of blood tests later. I hope they find out what's wrong. Get well soon chicko. Anyway all the girls cropping had to be on their best behavior (like we aren't normally LOL) cos Anita was on her own. Caught up with Julie while I was there ~ Hi Julie.

Last night I went to see 'The DaVinci Code' with Darren in Gold Class for my Bday. Film was fantastic, I loved it. We had wine and popcorn for starters, great combo, followed half way through the movie with sticky date pudding and hot chocolate, yummo. If you get the opportunity to see the flick GO!!

Tomorrow night I am going out with the girls for dinner. Sarah arranged it (Thanks chicko) but now she is going to miss it being sick and all :( I will miss you. Still not sure where we are going yet so I can imagine there will be some last minute phone calls tomorrow.

And when the front door gets painted (we bought it secondhand so it came painted this way....YUK) I love the red etched side lights, just gotta work out what colour will go with them. Got any suggestions?????

Well I haven't posted for a few days and thought it was time. It is really cold here in Melbourne ATM. Even colder in my house with all the OPEN plan living we have. No bathroom window, just a bit of plastic covering the hole. The good news is we have bricks at the front of the house now, it looks like something is happening here. I have some pics which I will post later. All we need now is for the windows at the front to be put in LOL. The blue look isn't very nice. The other day Darren decided to pull the wall down between the boys bedrooms so now they have one really big bedroom. Once the rooms out the back get some plaster they will move out there so I hope they are not like this for too long as you can imagine the fights they are having ATM. We had plaster everywhere when the wall came down, it seems to find every nook and crany to hide in.
I went to the Sensational on Sunday at Scraptac. Sarah was working and I got to catch up with Claire who is one of the new chicks on the design team along with Donna Loughnan. Didn't get a whole lot done but that's nothing new for me. Didi, Wendy L and Cara were there too and Shazza dropped in for a little bit. On Friday I was waaaayyyyy bad! I spent up big, and I mean really BIG! Lots of new stuff. Love the K-ology chipboard shapes and the transparencies, some foam stamps, lots of new rub-ons (can't remember the brand), some 7Gypsies stuff and loads more.
Haven't scrapped since Sunday, actually I haven't even unpacked the car but am about to do that now so I can scrap later on today.
I am happy to say I have everything for the Kiwiscraps Crafting Connections paid for. Yep, the convention, airfares and accommodation so all that is left now is to save up for spending money. I am thinking about doing a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb while I am there but it is pricey so I will leave it a bit and see. We fly out on Thursday lunchtime and fly home Sunday evening. I am sooo looking forward to it but not sure what to expect as I am a Convention virgin LOL.

It is Wednesday already!!
Not been up to much. Went to the shop on Monday to catch up with Jodie before she goes away, she is off to Queensland for a bit and also going to ISC while she is up there (lucky duck). Yesterday was pretty boring. I spent a few hours relocating my pantry (which was actually in the Laundry cupboard), now it is in two make shift cupboards as Darren is knocking out the walls in the laundry to make way for the new ones.
Today was the usual in and out. Gym, School and fill in 90 minutes before the kids pick up.

Happy Mum's Day to all you Mum's out there.
I hope you all had a great day and were spoilt rotten :)
My morning started at 8am when I was woken up (after only 5 hours sleep, I was hoping for a sleep in) by the kids with Breakfast in bed. They were sooooo proud of themselves for doing it on their own, I didn't have the heart to tell them I didn't want it. They made me toast with jam, cuppa tea and a glass of juice. I drank the cuppa and slipped the toast to the dog when the kids weren't looking. I couldn't stomach anything first thing in the morning, if I do eat breakfast I don't usually eat any until I have dropped the kids off at school and I have been up and about for a bit.
We had lunch out and it was a smorgesboard (spelling??) so I told them to stuff themselves as I wasn't cooking tonight. Nice day all in all. Kids behaved nicely (usually do when we are out, they are just feral when at home, like most kids I suppose). I am still feeling stuffed from lunch and the kids have just made themselves some toast.
I haven't scrapped today but I am going to try and get a LO done tonight before I go to bed.

My Mum written by Oliver (5 years).
She loves cows and she patted one and I patted one. She takes me swimming. She loves me because she gives me cuddles and kisses me on the lips. She is beautiful because I love her.

This is what Oliver made at school for me for Mother's Day. The pic at the top is of me with him and a cow. There is lots of glitter and sequins around it too. Isn't it gorgeous. Isn't he gorgeous. I don't know where he got that I like cows and I love the bit "She is beautiful because I love her".

More new goodies at the shop (Scraptacular) today. The Crop-A-Dial came in, new Rusty Pickle papers, Melissa Frances Papers, new Scenic Route rub-ons, Fancy Pants paper, Fancy Pants Flowers (in a bottle), Queen and Co stuff, Ngaire Bartlams' new book It's All About You, The For Keeps Elite Team book/Mag and LOTS more.

Well I am off to watch BB Uplate in bed (trying to have an early night).

Podcasts and other stuff.

I wish the days were longer. I soooo don't have enough time in the day ATM.
I have decided I am NOT liking Wednesday's. I have a couple of hours to fill in after I drop the kids off at school (usually spent at the gym). Then I have parent helper at the primary school in Oliver's class followed by an hour and a half to fill in before I am back at school to pick the kids up. This afternoon I had to go and order some sand, cement and brighton lite for the brickie, hopefully he starts tomorrow. It will be great to get some bricks up at the front of the house as it might actually look like we are getting somewhere.
I tried to fit in some scrapping today but was unsuccessful :( Did manage to pick up the new Scrapbook Answers mag (hey Ros Carrum Downs Newsagent has a few in stock) I am loving this mag ATM.
Tomorrow I have a few errands to run for Darren and I WANT to get the materials I need for Kim Archer's online class ready as well.

Podcasts. I am into these ATM, I listen to them while I'm at the gym (helps me zone out). I have been downloading them through ITunes but you can get them directly from the websites. You don't need an IPod or MP3 player to listen to them as you can play them through your computer. I listen to Angie Pedersen's Wholly Scrap and Scrapcast, I have also subscribed to Scrapbooking Podcast and Advice on Scrapbooking, Design and Photography, I haven't listened to either of the last ones but plan to very soon. Podcasts are all the rage and you can get them on just about any subject. It is like listening to a radio station at your own convenience about stuff that interests you. Just google podcasts and see what you come up with.
And while I am sort of on the subject, the other thing I have been listening to are audio books. These are cool. I have Harry Potter (the latest one) as well as the Da Vinci Code. I have them on my MP3 player so I can listen to them. I have also played bits of them on the computer for the kids to listen to (Harry Potter not The Da Vinci Code LOL).

Catching Up!

Thought I had better post about the weekend. Saturday, it was really cold and Darren had me working up in the roof (oh joy). When I went to bed in the wee hours (almost 2am) it was extremely windy. Anyway next thing I know I am awake, in bed, and the bottom half of the bed is wet. SOMEONE HAS PEED IN THE BED!!!! I knew it wasn't me, but then again (NO only joking). The roof was leaking and it was pouring with rain outside............and inside, in particular all over the bottom half of the bed. I could have had a shower without actually getting in the shower. All this at 5.30am!!!!!! Not happy. So Sunday night I went to a friend's daughter's 21st Birthday Party as I was asked to go and take some photo's. Rocked up at 5pm and left just after 8pm. Fantastic party and great food. It had a circus theme with Sumo Wrestling and a Bungee Run.
Today was busy as I did a lot of running around. In and out of the car for the better part of the day. Managed to drop by the shop and had a quick cuppa with the girls.
I AM going to the gym in the morning as I have missed the last 2 days and I AM NOT making a habit of that :) Other than that I have a few things to do scrapping wise, can't say too much and I need to make a start (and hopefully finish) this month's Scrap Exchange LO.

Highs and Lows

Well I had a great day at the crop today. Met up with Kerry and Molly. Didn't scrap much (but that's nothing new LOL) I probably did half a LO, did more chatting and shopping. Caught up with Wendy, haven't seen her since she got back from her trip to India. She gave be a lovely silver bangle from India, Thanks Wendy. I got to see Robbie Roos A to Z album (pics of all the pages) and it is amazing, I am pretty sure I saw the winning entry ;)
More new stuff at Scraptacular ~ 7Gypsies, Junkitz, Kelly Panacci Pattern Paper, more Heidi Swapp fuzzy rubons, and lots more. Mmmmmmm yummy!!
So I suppose you can call that my high.
The low point was when I was walking past the television and saw the shocking news of Sophie Delezio. I cried, I can't believe this can happen to such a little girl after all she has been through. She has proven she is a fighter and I only hope she can do it once more. My thoughts are with her and her Mum and Dad I can't imagine what they must be going through.........again. This is sooo unfair. Stay strong little one.

Kim Archer's Online Class.

OK, so here is my take on Kim Archer's online class ~ Hour of Power. I added a few extra bits and used a bigger photo as well. Quite happy with the results, I used flowers on a 'boy' LO :) I love the SEI papers ATM.
Didn't get much else done today, Darren finished work at 10.30 - that's AM, so I had him home for the rest of the day. He took the toilet door off this arvo so no privacy in this house baby LOL - it isn't going back on either as there is a new wall running through it now.
Might go to bed early and get up early (really early like 5.30 (hey that's really early for me :)) Going to the Friday crop tomorrow to catch up with Kerry, also Wendy wants to catch up to so I hope to see her there.

Guess what I got and Chocolate.

I picked up the external flash (Speedlite) for my camera today, yippee!! I went to Ted's Camera's thinking that's the best place to go and they also had it on special. Asked at the counter to be told they don't have it (insert angry face here) they would have to order it in and it will take at least a week. So someone please tell me WHY they have it on special if they don't have it on the shelf???? (insert an even angrier face here). He asked for my name so he could order it in and I said don't bother. Decided to try JB, went in and walked up to the camera section, looked around for a bit and couldn't see any on display. Stood and waited for some SERVICE and waited a bit more ~ 15 minutes I waited and still no help (now insert a angry face with steam coming out her ears) walked out and went next door (wasn't hopeful though) to The Good Guys. Walked over to the camera section and saw one on display, next thing I have 2 guys asking if they can help me (shock horror LOL). So I got it and they matched Ted's special price to boot. So the moral of the story is............I don't really know but Ted's isn't always the best when it comes to camera's.
Not much else happening on the news front. About to get dinner organized (nice and early) so I can scrap the night away :)

Stupid Keyboard!

OK, haven't posted in a few days as the keyboard has been playing up ~ at least the mouse was still working so I could check out everyone else's blog :)
Not much to tell. Went to the class on Monday and had fun. My Making Memories Runaway Roller Tote finally came in, Yippee!! I love it, I have all 3 pieces now in black. Picked up 2 Scrapping books too, and quite a few other new goodies.
I got another LO done on Sunday but forgot to get a pick of it ~ bugger.
Still going to the gym pretty much everyday ~ gee I'm a good girl LOL.
Darren was home today and had me working up in the roof with him ~ Oh Joy! NOT.
I have Kim Archer's online class on Thursday night so that will be a blast.
I am going to a 21st birthday party on Sunday. I was asked if I would go and take pics, I was flattered to be asked and am really looking forward to it. All I have to do now is come up with a price, I have no idea. Anyway I will rock up at 5pmish and will stay for a few hours. The whole party has a circus theme so it should make for some fantastic pics.
I am hoping to scrap tomorrow afternoon, I am parent helper in Oliver's class tomorrow from 11.30 - 1.30 (crap time). Plan to go to the gym first thing then scrap in arvo.
Well that is about it. Might go to bed and watch BB uplate, sounds like there might be a bitch fight on between Camilla and Tilly ~ excellent viewing LOL.

More yukky weather in Melbourne today, it rained over night and is still trying this morning. Might be a good scrapping day!!
Went to the Frenzy last night with Sarah. There were 10 chicks and it was a nice quiet night. Scrapped until 10.30 and then couldn't do any more as my shoulders were killing me. So I 'fluffed' a bit until it was time to go home.
I have a class to go to on Monday so I need to get organized for that over the weekend.

The Biggest Loser/Winner!!!

How fantastic was the Finale tonight. I was gobsmacked at how well they have done out of the house. I am sooooo glad that Adro won, but how close was it in the end. Kristie looks tiny and Fiona could be Aussie's next super model, I didn't realize how tall she was until tonight. I think Kat has done a fantastic job being out of the house so long and losing as much as she had.

Anyway on the scrapping front I managed to complete 2 LO's today and have another almost finished ~ that's pretty darn good for me LOL. I am going to the Friday night Frenzy tomorrow night with Sarah so I will have to organize myself tomorrow and have some pages planned.

Well that's it for now. Off to bed I go :)

I am playing around with the sidebar at the moment, adding a link to an online gallery that I am currently uploading pics to. Not alot of new stuff as I am hopeless when it comes to taking a pic of LO's before they go to the shop. I will see how I go and try and get some more pics loaded before the end of the day. I have decided to have an album for every month so it is easier to see what's new. There is nothing in the April 2006 album........yet, but hopefully I will have some stuff in there shortly :)

Still feeling crap! I have decided to go to the gym and see if I can sweat the cold/flu out LOL. I haven't been to the gym since Friday so it is about time I went again. At least the kids are back at school again (2 lots of 4 day weekends in a row isn't much fun seeing as they had holidays not that long ago). I have almost finished the 'Spice Rack' I bought at Bunnings and I will post pics of it once done ~ might add a sneak peek if I have time to get the camera out.

Lest We Forget.

ANZAC DAY.

I saw a kid marchin’ with medals on his chest.
He marched alongside Diggers marching six abreast.
He knew that it was ANZAC Day - he walked along with pride.
He did his best to keep in step with the Diggers by his side.

And when the march was over the kid was rather tired.
A Digger said “Whose medals, son?” to which the kid replied:
“They belong to daddy, but he did not come back.
He died up in New Guinea on a lonely jungle track”.

The kid looked rather sad then and a tear came to his eye.
The Digger said “Don’t cry my son and I will tell you why.
Your daddy marched with us today - all the blooming way.
We Diggers know that he was there - it’s like that on ANZAC Day”.

The kid looked rather puzzled and didn’t understand,
But the Digger went on talking and started to wave his hand.
“For this great land we live in, there’s a price we have to pay
For we all love fun and merriment in this country where we live.
The price was that some soldier his precious life must give.

For you to go to school my lad and worship God at will,
Someone had to pay the price so the Diggers paid the bill.
Your daddy died for us my son - for all things good and true.
I wonder if you understand the things I’ve said to you”.

The kid looked up at the Digger - just for a little while
And with a changed expression, said, with a lovely smile:
“I know my dad marched here today - this is ANZAC Day.
I know he did. I know he did, all the bloomin’ way”.

Well I have a head cold ~ YUK!! I think it is my first one for the year. When I get a cold/flu it goes straight to my sinuses so I went to the chemist to get some sudafed like medication and found out you need a bloody prescription to get it now!!!! Soooo not happy. So now I have to go to the Drs and pay $50 for a script. I did buy some over the counter Codral cold and flu ~ day and night (without the pseudoephedrine) but it has done NOTHING, big waste of money. So I have given scrapping a go but it is so not a good look having a tissue stuffed up each nostril to stop the drips from landing on the LO. I am hoping this is a quick cold and doesn't drag out for weeks ~ wish me luck :)

I caught up with my Nan today for her birthday, she is 79 this year so she has a BIG one next year. She loves seeing the kids. Kristy (my sister) went as well with her two, Cooper and Dakoda. Did the cake thing and had to light the candles 4 times so the kids all got a go at blowing them out.

Don't know why it is Fabulous but it sounded good :)
Busy day, kinda. Did a cardio session at the gym this morning and then made my way to the shoe shop in Seaford on Railway Parade to pick up some Croc's that I put on order for Kerry. Got there and realized I had forgotten my purse so I had to travel back home to get it then go back to pick up the shoes (20 minute round trip). Then I went to the crop at Scraptacular. Poor Sarah was working on her own today and only 2 others in the crop, one was Kerry of course. So Kerry got her Croc's and we swapped a few other bits and pieces. So I suppose the question is how many LO's did I get done.....................um....NONE LOL. I am a shocker. To busy chatting and shopping. At least Kerry got a double LO done. Didn't leave the shop until just after 3.30 (Darren picked the kids up from school). I then went to Bunnings to get a new sander for Darren and also browsed the Craft aisle and picked up a shadow box that I am itching to do, some paints, a frame and a wooden book/folder cover. Got home and did the dinner thing and then sat down and watched the Biggest Loser and cried (what a loser I am LOL). Poor Adro, it is soooo not fair. Anyways then I jumped on the net and checked out Kim Archer's blog to find she has 2 new classes on offer so I emailed her and I am doing both (Yippee!!) in the evening timeslots.
Tomorrow I have a day of Scrapping planned and I am hoping to go and have dinner with the chicks doing the Sensational Saturday at Scraptacular.

Wet and Wild!!!!

The weather is wet and wild here in Melbourne at the moment. The wind is freezing and we have rain on and off too (a bit more on than off).
I plan on curling up on the couch and reading the new Scrapbook Creations tonight and if the mood takes me I might even scrap (shock horror LOL). I picked up 2 more frames from The Warehouse this afternoon so I need to get them happening. I am also in a Scrapbook Exchange ~ like a circle journal but we do a double LO each month with photos that were supplied by all the scrapper's involved. It was decided to do it this way as no one will be waiting on a 'journal', instead we can scrap at our own pace BUT a double LO must be done each month.
Darren was home today trying to get some more of the roof done. We had heaps of rain get in last night so the more he can get done the better. The rain came in the bathroom (well it is a wet area.......right) and in our walk in robe, so clothes were wet and need to go into the dryer ~ it has been going since 7am this morning and I am still not done.
Anyway that's about it. If I do get any LO's done I will post them later :)

Couldn't think of a title LOL.
What have I been up to???? I had my first gym session last Thursday, just did cardio and not weights, but I have since done 2 weights sessions and have found I have muscles I never knew I had ~ and they bloody hurt :)
Saturday night I went to Robyn's 21st Birthday party and had a bit to much to drink. Had a blast though, food was yummy, champagne was excellent.
Sunday I played easter bunny in the AM. Took the kids to Myuna Farm in Doveton and was there for 5 hours, they had a ball and pretty much amused themselves the whole time which meant I could chat with my girlfriend and catch up on the goss. Kids went back to school yesterday (Tuesday) and I still haven't scrapped (I think it has been over a week). Well I have lots of photos to get printed so I am hoping that will inspire me.
I am going to the shop on Friday for the crop and to catch up with Kerry.

My day ....... in a nutshell.

OK, on the Mavis front.......she has been found! She hitched a ride with Mavis 6 and although she is suffering from dehydration from being in a car boot for 2 days she is expected to make a full recovery LOL. You all must think I am sooooo weird.

Did my helping bit today at school and Olly is finally learning to SHARE mummy with the other kids in his class. Had my gym assessment and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Didn't have Craig, had a chick (can't remember her name) and she went through what I want to get out of the gym and worked out a program for me. Didn't have to get on the scales (thank god!!) instead she took some measurements. She wants me doing cardio 3 days and weights for 2 days each week, more cardio if I want. So now I am ready to work on the new me. I am going for my first session tomorrow morning after I have dropped the kids off at school. Something else I have to do is start eating breakfast. I am soooo not a morning person and don't even think about eating until lunchtime so this will be a challenge. I am allowed to have my carbs too (I love my potatoes and bread) as long as I have them for lunch and NOT at dinner.

The kids had their parent/teacher interviews this afternoon and all is well on that front except Olly needs a bit of work on his sounds (he is in Prep). He is a great storyteller and very confident ~ nothing I didn't already know LOL he makes up bullsh*t all the time, as for the confidence he doesn't get that from me, must be from Darren's side of the family. Nathaniel is the quiet achiever and does everything that needs to be done without a sound. I also found out he has been doing some Grade 4 Maths (he is Grade 3) one very proud Mum here.

I am currently working on an apron ~ the Making Memories ones came into the shop yesterday so of course I had to get one. It is black with 3 pockets at the front. I am 'decorating' it ATM and will post a pick once I am done. Also picked up the new Urban Lily papers so I will have to do some LO's with them once I am done with the apron. If your interested (and in Melbourne) Scraptacular has soooo much Heidi Swapp stuff ATM. I picked up the pencils, a whole heap of the credit card stuff, new deco tape, new photo corners, the HS tools (paper piercer etc..) new circle chipboard alphas, mini masks, the list goes on. Don't go by the website as it is soooo out of date but they are hoping to get the website revamped very soon.

I am helping out in Olly's class today from 11.30 ~ 1pm (parent helper) then I have my appointment with Craig at the gym at 1.30 for my assessment, gulp, I am a bit nervous. Can't wait until it is all over and I can just slog it out at the gym. I plan on going most weekdays after I have dropped the kids off at school.
Anyway I will post later as to how I went.

Please call one of the other Mavises to let them know where you are and that you are OK. Mavis 7 and 8 (along with the others) are pining for you so come out of where ever you are hiding you old bag. Poor Mavis 7 has been out in the garden (more like a jungle LOL) looking for you and she won't stop until you resurface.

Ok, as promised a quick update on what we got up to over the weekend.
We had a scrap get together at Shazza's house (or should I say Mansion) - she has a gorgeous place and it is HUGE - it started on Friday 6pm and went until Sunday arvo. I couldn't go and scrap until Saturday evening but I did pick up Sarah on Friday night and we went for a visit for a few hours to see what everyone was up to. Scrapped at home a bit on Saturday and then got organized to go Saturday night after Darren got home from work. We had an ACE (haven't heard that word in a while LOL) dinner, lots of kids party food, it was Robyn's 21st B'day. There were sausage rolls, party pies, puffy dogs (cocktail frankfurts wrapped in puff pastry), fairy bread, honey joys, chocolate crackles (that was my contribution), cheese twists, mini spring rolls...........the list goes on and on. Sarah made up lolly bags in noodle boxes and there were balloons too. Soooo not much scrapping but a lot of eating and a bit of drinking. Lots of photo's - we all gathered on the stairs for a group shot. There was a cake that Shazza made - see the pic. We also got a special pressie from Robyn, Bright purple shopping bags with our Mavis numbers on them - the Mavis thing is a long story but there are 18 of us in total so we all looked cool with our bags hanging over our shoulders (and on our heads LOL). Went to bed after 3am and got up a bit after 9 on Sunday. Bit more scrapping and more chatting. Jodie made us all Pancakes for breakfast - YUM - and we finished off with more scrapping. I left at around 3.30pm. Had a blast, Thanks Shazza for having me.

Doll update ~ The pic in my last post was of the poor doll from Robyn's birthday cake. After the cake was cut Terry had her way with her with a little bit of help from some tomato sauce LOL, we are a sick bunch.

In other news, I finally did it. I joined a gym this morning. Went down to my local Beach House Fitness Centre and signed on the dotted line. I go on Wednesday for an assessment and take it from there. This then meant that I had to go shopping for some new joggers ($130 later) and some clothes to wear at the gym (can't exactly wear my jeans) so I did that this morning too.

Last but not least Darren left his job last week. Had a few days off and decided not to go back (long story but he is happy and so am I as he has done a bit more on OUR house finally). He made a phone call on Wednesday and starts work on a new job later this week. He is a Carpenter so if you are good at what you do there are always plenty of jobs around, you just need to know people IYKWIM. He actually made 3 phone calls and could get work from all 3 but the one he has taken is in Patterson Lakes for at least 2 years so that's good.

OK, I think I am done for now.

Not long got home from the mini getaway at Shazza's. Had a great night last night, lots of party food and not much scrapping (nothing new there LOL). a bad blogger :) I just had a crappy end to last week. I won't go into it and bore you but I will say Saturday was fun. I got to sit around for 4 hours and play with 'Collections' stuff with Kerry and Molly (Hello over there :P) at Scraptacular. I only planned on going for 2 hours but stayed until they closed. Got a gorgeous bunch of pink gerbera's from Jodie too ~ Thank you again Jodie ~ check out the pic down below.
Sunday was different, Darren stayed home, OMG, and worked on the house. I cleaned pretty much all day so was a bit boring. I finished off a frame I started earlier in the week on Sunday night in between watching The Triangle.
So that leaves today (Monday). Darren was home again today trying to get some more of the roof done, he even had me up there at one stage, AND....... it looks like he will be home tomorrow too. Darren has been working 7 days a week and very long hours to boot since the start of this year so it is really weird to have him home for 1 day let alone 3 in a row. Tonight I have been working on some pressies for the girls this weekend. A group of us are getting together over this coming weekend to scrap, but we will probably do more talking, laughing, drinking and eating LOL.
I managed to pick up some 'Crocs' last week. I got brown ones without the holes so these will be great with socks during the colder months (more like NOW, it is freezing here in Melbourne). I like them sooo much I am gunna get another pair in a different colour, maybe the black or tan.

What scrapbook lines/products, etc. do you dislike?
I hate (strong word I know) the Disney lines you can buy eg. paper stickers etc.. with Winnie the Pooh and Cinderella and the rest.

What is the hardest thing you have ever had to scrap?
Probably photos of my Dad, he died when I was 11.

What technique do you use more than anything else?
Paint and Inking, I am also into machine sewing (haven't got the patience for hand stitching LOL).

Have you ever had any scrapbook related injuries?
No physical injuries but I do suffer from lack of sleep from staying up to late to scrap.

Finish this sentence, "If I wasn't a scrapbooker/stamper, I would spend my money on".
I would probably spend more on entertainment ~ going to the movies and dinner stuff like that.

I was last in the line when they were giving out organizational skills LOL but I do keep my ribbons in jars sorted into colours.

How gorgeous is she!!! ~ I Love this Pic. I can't believe how much she has grown (she was born 12 weeks prem) she is now 7 months. This is Dekoda, my niece. I saw her and her brother Cooper and my Sis, Mum and Nan this morning when we had Macca's for Breakfast. I hadn't caught up with the Family for Nathaniel's birthday so we decided to catch up this morning. I took these pics while James (my eldest son) was having cuddles. Didn't get any good shots of Cooper as he was in a feral mood :) I had the new toast, the Banana and Date and boy was it yummy. The kids also had toast but they had the Sourdough with Vegemite. Might have to have a late Breakfast this week after I have dropped the kids off at school and try the Apple and Cinnamon. Anyway I just thought I would share the pics, I can't wait to scrap them.

Yep, now I can say that I have been to McClelland Gallery/Sculpture Park. I took the boys and went with Sarah and her 2 kidlets. We checked out the 'French Gallery' and then walked the grounds and checked out the sculptures outside. There is some cool stuff there, like the car made from crayons, an airplane made from match heads and the abstract sculptures made from coloured pencils. The kids favourite were the dogs. I won't go into too much detail as it will spoil it if anyone out there decides to go :) Got lots of pics too. James and Oliver were happy to pose but Nathaniel was being difficult (to put it nicely IYKWIM). So here are Oliver and James playing happy brothers (gee that's rare LOL).

On other news I did a class at my LSS tonight - we scrapped the 7Gypsies raw albums. Guess what I forgot to take to class (I was sooooo embarrassed), my album of course DOH!!! So I had to buy another one cos you can't do a class on decorating an album without the album can you. Now I have 4 of them LOL. I do like these albums though and I might even buy some more while they are around.
It's getting late so I am gunna sign off.

Well today I am hoping to get the kids out of the house and go to the McClelland Gallery (in about 45 minutes and counting). I need an airing and I am sure they do to. I am also hoping for some good pics. I am going to a class tonight at my LSS, 7 til 9pm but I plan on getting there earlier for a bit of a shop.
So, who is watching The Biggest Loser?? Wasn't Jillian good last night, ripping through them. Can't wait to see who wins tonights challenge - well I won't actually be watching cos I'll be out but I will tape it to watch when I get home. Which reminds me I will have to tape Lost too and The Amazing Race, can't miss either of those shows.
Well best be off and dress the kids so we can go out :)

She puts so much work into these but the end result for us students is FANTASTIC!!!

Bit of a nothing day today. Started scrapping but got side tracked when the sewing machine decided to play up, ended giving it a service - pulled it apart and oiled every bit that I could. It seems to be OK now. Did some boring housework stuff and organized dinner.
I have just finished wrapping Nathaniel's birthday pressies - he is 9 tomorrow. I am taking him and a few friends to the movies tomorrow to see Zathura, it is on at 10.15 so I will need to be up and organized.
Thought I would add a pic of my lunch from yesterday - drool, drool, I can still taste them now.

Had lunch at Chaddy today at the Pancake Parlour with 9 girls from the boxx. It was great to put faces to names and to check out some of the other girls albums - all fantastic stuff too :)
So here is a pic of us, the poor waitress had camera's lined up on the table to take our pic.

Came home and did dinner then went back out to pick up a bench/counter top for Sarah in D's work van. Not long been home and I am knackered. I did manage to get a sneek peek of the new counter at my LSS though - looks fantastic.

Went to the movies last night and saw 'Hostel' - bit scary but I like a good scary movie. I still want to go and see 'Firewall' with Harrison Ford, he's not bad for a 63 year old - yep he is that old now.
I am going out for lunch today with the girls from Scrapboxx. We are meeting at Chadstone in about 3 hours. Should be good. I will be taking my camera so will post picks later. Didn't make it to the McClelland Gallery yesterday - the kids disappeared next door on me so I will keep that up my sleeve for tomorrow maybe.
Nathaniel's birthday is getting closer, it is on Tuesday so I will be checking out the shops today while I am at Chadstone. On Wednesday I am doing one of Kim Archer's online classes, can't wait for that so far here classes have been fabbo! On Thursday evening I am doing another class at my LSS - which reminds me that I need to pull my finger out and get the supplies I need for it.
Not much else happening.

Might see if the weather holds out and take the kids to McClelland Gallery in a few hours. Never been before and it is only 3 minutes up the road. Great photo opportunities as there are heaps of sculptures in the gardens. Will post some pics if I go.

In other news, I am going to Sydney to the Kiwiscraps Crafting Connection in August - Yippee!!! Will be leaving on Thursday 17th and coming home on Sunday 20th. I will be doing 3 classes with Ali Edwards and 3 with Donna Downey, can't wait, I am soooo excited.

I have just started an Online Photography Course to help me get more out of my Digi SLR - it is forever in the auto mode :) Scrapboxx (on the forum) is running 'Jodie Coston's' photography course over the next 10 months. A new lesson each month with challenges/homework. The first lesson is up and the homework has been set so check it out.

Best be off and feed the animals....oopps I mean kidlets ;)

Friday, March 17, 2006 - OK, so I have been a bad blogger.
A very BAD blogger.
It is school holidays here in Melbourne because of the Commonwealth Games. They are driving me nuts with "I'm bored", it started on Saturday the moment they got up. I managed to escape today and pop down to my LSS. Bought some new papers and some pens for doodling. I have been practicing heaps so hopefully I will get some LO's done with some doodling on them real soon.
I got a single done yesterday but nothing today :(

I haven't got much planned for the weekend. D will be working Sat, on Sunday I am going to catch up with some of the 'boxx' girls for a get together. It will be nice to put some faces to names.

Next week is Nathaniel's 9th birthday - Oh what to buy for a 9 year old, I swear it gets harder the older they get. He wants an XBox but he won't be getting one of those. We already have a Playstation2 and Nintendo as well as the games on the puter. I still have a few ideas up my sleeve so we will see what the weekend brings.

I know I have been the worst blogger ever but one of my New Years resolutions is to make a post AT LEAST once a week (hopefully more).

Happy New Year, how quick did 2005 go.
I hope everyone got fabbo pressies for Christmas.
I was spoiled and got a new camera, yippee! A digi slr and a huge 2 gig memory card to go with it. So I have been extra busy taking pics, unfortunately I haven't done a lot of scrapping but as of today I am on a mission.

Not much news on the home front. We do have half a roof. I suppose that is better than no roof. I no longer have a laundry, DH has made a makeshift one 'out the back' he was quite impressed with himself as he even added a light so I can see what I am doing at night LOL. We have bricks half way around the house and most of the windows have been moved and put in their new spots.

The kids are driving me batty, I so hate the last few weeks of school holidays. My youngest son Oliver goes off to school this year so I have been busy organising his uniform and shoes etc..

Well that's enough for now I might post some pics and I will check back REAL soon ;)

Just a short entry tonight.
I went to the Paperific show at Telstra Dome on Friday and loved it. Spent too much, did a class on a Bazzill coin folder and a make and take at the Collections stand - a mini clipboard. I was there at 10am and didn't leave until just after 4pm - we were kicked out LOL.
Now to find a home for all the goodies I picked up.

The joys of Motherhood, that is. This is what my Mum says to me all the time and I hate it. Oliver has been sick this weekend, not sure what he has but he has a fever and is extra clingy. If he is no better by tomorrow I am taking him to the Doctors. I did try and scrap today but it is a bit hard when you have a 4 year old sitting on your knee.

Went to my LSS on Friday for some retail therapy and the crop. Didn't get much scrapping done as I was too busy chatting with all the girls LOL. I am hopeless when it comes to crops, I never really get much done. I picked up a couple of books and some new scrapping products - they just got the new MM stuff in, yummo. I also ended up with a bag full of goodies for the Design Team stuff I do. I got heaps this time round. I have a special challenge to complete before Paperific next Friday - LO's (or anything really) using punches (has to be the Carl ones). Gee it is hard. I only really use a couple of round and square punches. I grabbed an arm full of punches from the classroom before I left so I can have a play.

Can't wait for Friday as I am off to the Paperific show. I have some money saved up and I am hoping DH will add to it LOL - a girl can wish can't she. I am the designated driver for the day, I am picking up a couple of girls on my way (they hate city driving).

I can hear Oliver calling my name so I best be off.

BIG congratulations to all the SM Master's. A very talented and well deserving bunch and I can't wait to see the book. Here they are.

Time for a whinge. I am so over the whole renovation thing. I am sick of the dirt and dust in the house. I am sick of the house actually being smaller than it was (it is supposed to be bigger). I am sick of the lack of privacy - some walls have been removed so we can see straight into the kids bedroom, we have to go outside if we want to have a adult only conversation. Poor Oliver has to walk through the pantry to get to his room and yes that does mean I don't have a pantry, I am using the laundry cupboard. The fridge is in the family/meals room. The list goes on.......
I keep trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel, it would have to be my very own scrap room. It will be upstairs (the only room upstairs) and will be about 2.4m wide and 10m long. I am already planning it although it is a long way off yet, I keep getting told by DH that it will be the last room done and to not get too excited just yet . We still haven't got a roof on yet - 3 months on, just a tarp or 2. Water is still coming in but not as bad as it was. Once the slate goes up the brickie can do his bit and hopefully it will be smooth sailing from there .......... who am I kidding.
Well I am going to do some scrapping this AM and then some retail therapy at my LSS.

Thursday, September 8, 2005 - A bit about me.
I got to thinking that I should probably write a bit about myself.
I am 33 and a Mum to 3 boys (or maybe that should be 4, including DH) aged 14, 8 and 4. If I’m not scrapping I’m shopping for scrap stuff, and if I’m not shopping I’m on the puter. We are currently renovating and extending our house ? What a mess!! I will be glad when it is all done, unfortunately that won’t be for months though as DH is doing it himself after work and on weekends (he is a builder).
I don’t work?, isn’t keeping up with 3 kids enough LOL. I am a member of my LSS Design Team and am loving it.
I entered the Scrapbooking Masters comp and have come away with 2 honourable mentions Yay, one for my double LO and one for my accent. I will post pics of my other 2 entries when I work out how to do it. I am a bit excited about being published as it will be my first time.
